Review: 2000 AD Prog 2002

My thoughts on this weeks 2000 AD – Prog 2002

2002

A striking old school Judge Dredd on the cover, matching the story inside well!

Part two of Judge Dredd in “Get Sin” shows us just the danger that the judges are in straight off the bat, with some high-powered defenses in place in the East-Meg stronghold. Dredd seems to have it all worked out though, and we discover the reasons behind the judges attacking here – and it’s not just as a retaliation for the deaths of the Judges before! We also get the identity of the hidden person, and there is some good reasons for them to remain hidden until needed – they would be recognisable to any East-Meg judges and they could plan accordingly. (No, I’m not saying who it is!)

Flesh starts in earnest after last issues introduction – the story is called Gorehead and you know he will be making an appearance – just not yet though! Even so, with the nasty humans, it’s still a dark read, the art matches it nicely and it looks as though something is going to kick off soon!

Part two of Hunted gives us some deal making – our traitor is hunted by both North and South as well as the GI. He seems to have made a deal to get out of this problem, get his face fixed and more. These deal involves the Rogue Trooper, and although he’s not in this issue, you know it’s around the corner!

Savage gives us more information on the status quo in The Marze Murderer, introducing some new characters and giving us an understanding of the current world and what is happening, it’s still a little vague though, but drip-feeding us information!

In part three of Counterfeit Girl we find out more about what is wrong with our protagonist, the sci-fi virus is excellent, as is the problems with a cure! As she goes about trying to escape, we see more of the world she lives in, and it doesn’t look good!
