Many moons ago I reviewed The Lion & The Unicorn – now it’s back….
What feels like a lifetime ago (2013) I spotlighted and reviewed The Lion & The Unicorn – a unique story using a unique platform of PDF and the web. It was something I had used as an example of what digital comics could become. Using a mix of technology and graphic storytelling, this was an excellent read.
The Lion & The Unicorn was also available on comiXology as a ‘flat’ digital comics, but it was always more than that.
Now Ash Pure has revamped The Lion & The Unicorn, with a look to making it an interactive experience online
“…the idea of a central linear narrative being the entry point into a non linear story world.”
The website is an interactive experience which allows you to not only read the story, but also explore the world in which the story is set – including characters, locations and technology. This is building up a digital comic and then some, creating a whole new experience. Something still worth checking out and exploring – as well as something I will be siting as an example of digital comics!

There are still PDF packs which are available, which are available to Patreon members.
