Review: 2000 AD – Prog 2128

Some thoughts on this weeks 2000 AD – Prog 2128

JUDGE DREDD: THE LONG GAME by Michael Carroll (w) M ark Sexton (a) John Charles (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)

This has taken an interesting twist. I’m getting into this arc and I wonder where it will all fit together. I like the part about Dredd and his role in all of this!

SCARLET TRACES: HOME FRONT by Ian Edginton (w) D’Israeli (a) Ellie De Ville (l)

On ground level now, and there is some excellent art here. I love the colouring. This is giving a real old school sci-fi feel. Things look dark here, and it will be interesting to see how they get out of this!

MAX NORMAL: HOW THE MAX GOT HIS STRIPES by Guy Adams (w) Dan Cornwell (a) Jim Boswell (c) Simon Bowland (l)

Max’s flashbacks continue and the cover star has a dark side to it. You can see it building up and I like the origin of the name ‘Normal’

FUTURE SHOCKS: JUNCTURE by Andi Ewington (w) Anna Morozova (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)

A good Future Shock with some nice art. It’s good to see superheroes in 2000 AD every now and then. I like this one and the build up – it could be something bigger!

KINGMAKER: OUROBOROS by Ian Edginton (w) Leigh Gallagher (a) Ellie De Ville (l)

There’s a good bit of bonding here and I nice build up to the end of the issue. I like that it is giving small parts of what has happened before, and the art and colouring is excellent!
