Some thoughts on this week’s 2000 AD – Prog 2154 – out now!
JUDGE DREDD: GUATEMALA by John Wagner (w) Colin MacNeil (a) Chris Blythe (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
We get a look at the rest of Guatemala – and things look grim for the humans. I like that this seems to be setting up a lot. No Dredd in this issue, but I think something is brewing!
DEFOE: THE DIVISOR by Pat Mills (w) SK Moore (a) Ellie De Ville (l)
Defoe has to stop the ‘King’ from leaving – it’s a really good read, with some nice scenes. The action is excellent, and it looks to me that Defoe may be going into space!
BRINK: HATE BOX by Dan Abnett (w) INJ Culbard (a) Simon Bowland (l)
Definitely a major crime! This was an excellent ‘police’ issue. There was a lot of detectoring in this issue, and it looks like some of the action will be in the next issue. I really enjoyed it!
HOPE: UNDER FIRE by Guy Adams (w) Jimmy Broxton (a) Ellie De Ville (l)
This issue is the comedown. There is still something else being planned here, and I think, underneath it all Hope knows it. First he’s got to get his head together though and that may take some doing!
THE FALL OF DEADWORLD: DOOMED by Kek-W (w) Dave Kendall (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)
The Sov’s didn’t know what hit them! This was a good, action issue! With some nice attacks and counter attacks! Fairfax is coming back!!
