Frank Mig has just been rescued from a boring life. One chance afternoon he sees a villain called the Collector be defeated by an unlikely alliance of heroes. In defeat the Collector explodes and his powers get sent out randomly into the crowd. Several bystanders suddenly become super human. Frank gets his speed and with it a new life.
Now he’s being trained by the FBI to run. To run faster than cars and most jets and out of his dead end life as a workplace drone. It’s great, it’s exhilarating, it’s a gift, and it’s all good. Except for the nightmares and the secrecy.
The FBI isn’t telling him anything and he’s being kept apart from the other recipients. He’s forced to train without being told why and then there’s the nightmares. The same nightmare every night. Demons, creatures, deformed ungodly animals, all hunting him. Always inches away from his flesh.
When the heroes who banded together to stop the Collector start to be attacked. No one wants to say what seems obvious. The Collector is coming back and he wants all he lost back. No matter how he gets it.
Another strong showing, again, the 8 page teaser gives us just enough…..then stops! This is good though, wanting more is what the creators want to leave us doing.
Divided by Seven is a facinating idea, one I have not come across in any variation. Some of the art and some of the panels seemed a little disjointed, but on the whole I would see this series continue. I wonder if it would have the legs (no pun intended!)
