Over at CO2 Comics there is an interesting read on how people are getting into the ‘app’ method for comics. It makes interesting reading, I think that the frenzy of ‘apps’ may have blinded some, but there are other way to read your comics.
I think that Apps do make the reading maybe more mainstream than other methods – people can be lazy don’t forget.
I know this all sounds like blasphemy!
The digital comic download is supposed to be the savior ofcomics and finally provide a source of revenue to creators while opening up the huge untapped market of the masses.
The magic bullet!
But it is not.
If we allow ourselves to be led down the narrow road of the app it is business as usual. In the comics industry we know who wins. Everyone else loses. Even the readers.
