Marvel Digital have released their weekly schedule for this week. The staff pick is Amazing spider-Man #415 and the highlight of the week is Venom:
Christopher Lisciandro, Promotions Project Manager
Amazing Spider-Man (1963) #415I’m a Spider-Man fan, tried and true. Interviewing here at Marvel, I was asked which character was my favorite and boom, Spider-Man. I even saw “Turn off the Dark” (whoa). So when AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #415 offered me Spider-Man fighting an army of mutant hunting Sentinels at the command of Onslaught, I was sold. And it delivers. A barely spider-powered Peter Parker protects his pregnant wife when a Sentinel attacks them after registering Peter’s in utero daughter as “beyond range of embryonic normalcy.” Drama! Oh and watch Ben Reilly rip through a Sentinel’s head (siiick). This one rocks.
This week, to celebrate the union of everyone’s favorite alien symbiote and Flash Thompson, we’re highlighting the sordid history of Venom!
After Peter Parker broke the black pile of goo’s heart it’s never quite been the same. Witness its fling with Spider-Man on Battleworld, its terrible team-up with Eddie Brock and the single symbiote’s rampage in Canada’s great white north. These are some amazing issues you don’t want to miss as you get set for the new VENOM ongoing series in March!
