Preview: Destiny, NY Volume 1

Hot off an excellent Kickstarter, Destiny NY is coming out soon!

DESTINY, NY, a creator-owned graphic novel by Pat Shand (Vampire Emmy, Robyn Hood, Guardians of the Galaxy: Space Riot) and Manuel Preitano (Wonderland, Robyn Hood, Goddess Inc.) was funded through a successful Kickstarter campaign last year, and will be released through Continuity Entertainment on June 7th.

Writer/co-creator Pat Shand says, “DESTINY, NY is a dream come true, and I can’t wait to share this book with the world. It’s a high concept story, but firmly grounded in our cast of dynamic characters. Set in a version of New York City where magic is a real and accepted part of life, Logan McBride struggles to find purpose. She was the subject of an incredible prophecy when she was a child, but fulfilled her foretold destiny when she was just thirteen. Now in her twenties, Logan navigates through graduate school for Prophecy Kids while searching for her place in a world that tells her sheʼs already finished.”

Early reviews of the first chapter have been positive (“Destiny, NY might just be the queer magical comic of your wildest dreams.” – Zina Hutton, Word of the Nerd Online) and we are now prepared to release the entire graphic novel to the press.

DESTINY, NY also includes short comics by singer/songwriter Katie Kuffel, NYC playwright Tanya Everett, film producer Ryan Fassett, and artists Rosi Kampe, Roberta Ingranata, Andrea Kendrick, and Phillip Sevy.

DESTINY, NY VOLUME ONE will be available for purchase on Amazon in the final week of May:
