Spotlight: Tales Of The Fractured Mind

Tales Of The Fractured Mind is an anthology comic book, scheduled to launch on on Comixology June 28th and is for sale on http://talesofthefracturedmind.bigcartel.com/

Tales Of The Fractured Mind is an anthology series in the style of Strange Tales, Tales To Astonish, Métal Hurlant and Savage Tales. Those anthologies all have a theme – whether it’s horror, adventure, sci-fi or something else, there’s always a theme or typical comic genre. Tales Of The Fractured Mind’s theme is a little different – All the stories in the anthology concern mental health. While, taking inspiration by those pulp anthologies, Tales Of The Fractured Mind is more of a pulp art-house book. You’ll find that there are a lot of things in it, in style and substance, that deviate from a normal comic and that’s what we want. We’re inspired by European comics, art house movies and independent comics.

Tales Of The Fractured Mind features seven stories and over 60 pages of content in the book. These are stories about love, war, sci-fi, drama and horror; but these are also stories about dementia, post traumatic stress, bipolar disorder, body dysmorphic disorder and depression. It’s an anthology with a strong emotional core, intriguing stories, interesting characters and beautiful art from Rolands Kalnins that brings the entire thing together. The stories in Tales Of The Fractured Mind will stay with you long after you’ve put the book down.
