5 stories all continuing in different ways in this weeks prog!
In Judge Dredd: Enceladus we start with Dredd investigating the empty ship shot down over the city. There is an excellent point where one of the techs initially doesn’t recognize him! We then flash back to Enceladus where Nixon and the rest from Titan are dealing with the inhospitable planet – things don’t go well….
Orlok, Agent of East-Meg One: The Rasputin Caper continues to flesh out the Orlok character before the Block Wars. Here he is dealing with an agent of East-Meg Two and capturing a defecting artist. I’m really enjoying these stories as they give us more of a character we love to hate. The Pre-Cog artists visions were also well done!
Slaine: Primordial has Slaine continuing his fightback against the Drune Lords – here he has to deal with a possibly comatose or possessed partner – always speaking in riddles! Slaine’s responses were interesting here, as I thought he would loose it at some point. There is also an additional layer to the mythology here!
Grey Area: Just Routine Questions gives us a Grey Area that we should know, but is flipped on its axis! This is a Grey Area on the other side of the universe, with a different look at how exo-relations are dealt with – i.e. they’re not! And in the meantime, a god is coming!
Finally Strontium Dog: The Stix Fix combines the grim humour and action we always get from Johnny Alpha! His return is confirmed and now he has to deal with a cold war epic including the NKD! This issue shows how much of a hinderence the NKD will be to him, and at the moment, there is no shaking them!
