Reviews: TMNT Amazing Adventures Robotanimals & Biff To The Future

My thoughts on this weeks digital comics from IDW Publishing – TMNT Amazing Adventures Robotanimals #1 & Biff To The Future #5

This mini series kicks off with an hard-to-read bit of monologging from Baxter Stockman – in his mutant fly form. Luckily we get into it all, with the Turtles and the Mutanimals arranging to meet up. Stockman manages to get there first, throwing himself on the mercy of the Mutanimals. The Turtles think it’s a trap, we know it it’s a trap and they are all right. The mutanimals then get turned into cyborgs and we get a good fight scene between the robotanimals and the TMNT. This was a fast paced introduction for the beginning of this mini series. Good fun!

The penultimate issue of this alternate history mini series deals with what happened with this universes Doc brown. We also get an explanation as to why Strickland is like he is when we meet him in Back To The Future II. It gives us some good time-travel fun with Doc and Strickland trying to go back to deal with the problem of Biff. The story takes us ever so close to the events in BTTF II with the ending dealing with the fate of Doc Brown. I’m enjoying this series and look forward to seeing its finish!
