Review – Robyn Hood: Outlaw #2

Some thoughts on the second issue of this new Robyn Hood mini-series from Zenescope Entertainment!

Who can Robyn trust?

Cornered and with nowhere else to turn, Robyn is on the run for a crime she did not commit. She will need to sink into the depths of the city’s underground in order to try and clear her name while getting her hands a little dirtier than she hoped to save her friend’s life.

Writer: Howard Mackie
Artist: Babisu Kourtis

Although we get no closer as to who is after Robyn, we do get a little more on her new companion! Tatters is his ‘name’ and so far he seems to be pretty helpful to Robyn. First she checks in on the commissionaire though and it seems she gets a clue as to what is happening and how it happened. That doesn’t bring her any closer to who though!
The build up with Tatters is good though as Robyn is lead towards some safety. First she has to get past the guardian though and pass a trial. Robyn is pretty clever here and we get a good lead up to the next issue.
This was a good issue and uses the characters well, it all adds to the main mystery well!
