Review: 2000 AD – Prog 2149

Some thoughts on Prog 2149 of 2000 AD

JUDGE DREDD:  THE FALL OF BARBARBARA GRIMM by Michael Carroll (w) Nick Dyer (a) Quinton Winter (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)

A nice finish to the story – there’s not a lot of Dredd, but I can see how it builds into the bigger story that is coming. Well told and some good scenes!

SINISTER DEXTER: NARROW MINDED by Dan Abnett (w) Steve Yeowell (a) John Charles (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)

Things really get ramped up in this issue – we find out more about the tattoos and how to deal with those wering them. There are some unanswered questions, but there are bigger fish to fry yet! A good issue!

FUTURE SHOCKS: CONGESTED ANIMA by Mark McCann (w) Glenn Fabry (a) Adam Brown (c) Ellie De Ville (l)

A very spiritual issue in this future shock. It’s quite deep and not the more humourous side we usually get (even black humour). A good read and perfect art for the story!

JAEGIR: VALKYRIE by Gordon Rennie (w) Simon Coleby (a) Gary Caldwell (c) Ellie De Ville (l)

The rescue is complete, but the mission goes on! This was a good ending to the arc, and leads us into something bigger. I shudder at where this may lead!
