Zuda March: Hourglass Falls

Hourglass Falls is a best-selling fantasy novel written over 25 years ago on our world. The book was about the adventures of a boy named Sam, known to the people of Hourglass Falls as the Otherworlder, who helped a group of his friends defeat the evil King Nevermoore and his Broc army in the Eclipse War. Once King Nevermoore was defeated Sam became the King of Hourglass Falls and then eventually returned to his Otherworld. That boy Sam was actually Samuel Broom, the author of Hourglass Falls, which was not a fictional exercise but a chronicling of his time on another world. Sam is now deceased and his son Oliver Broom is currently a spoiled international pop star with the stage name Bobby Pegasus. Now, Hourglass Falls needs Oliver, the heir to Sam’s throne, to save them from King Nevermoore who has returned with a vengeance to destroy the peaceful world. With his new fantastical friends and abilities, Oliver will learn about himself, his father, and just how a not-so fictional world can make him a better person in his own.

I really like the art in this comic – the style of it is different in a good way and will really work in this kind of fantasy setting. The story suffered in this format, as I get the feeling the author would have liked more than 8 pages to write an introduction. You can see by the synopsis what is in store though.

I’m going to add this one to my favourites and give it 3 1/2 Stars
