Store owners are anxious, and for good reasons. For the first time, we have competition that is savvy and has positioned themselves in places where our customers spend time. Most of us never worried about the book market chain stores having graphic novels, because they never showed any desire to do more than sell the current “hot†thing out there. But with dedicated digital marketplaces, our customers seem to be fully aware of this alternate marketplace. So, is it the doom and gloom of the “real†comic book industry as many retailers feel it is?
