With three stories continuing and two new stories from Mega City 1, we have a nice rounded issue this week from 2000AD.
The Judge Dredd story ‘Asleep’ starts off making you thinking about one way the story is going, but by the end of this part you understand the title of the story! The fallout from Chaos Day continues but this is a nice side away from all that. The art is excellent here! – See what this citizen is capable of!
Part five of Brass Sun continues well with a slow down of the pace of the beginning of the stories – I get a feeling we are close to an explanation of the world and the aims – The art is nice and tight and clean. This is one good story!
The ABC Warriors in Return to Earth continue the run of excellent art pieces – there is some excellent action here with the robots! The conspiracy builds and is mixed in with the action here!
Part five of Grey Area finishes the storyline in the only logical way that it can. Although this is an ending, it’s obviously not the ending. At first I wasn’t a fan of these stories, but I’ve enjoyed this one and am looking forward to the next arc!
We return at the end to Mega City 1 with Wally Squad – The Simping Detective. A very nice noir story which has a lot in it and some excellent dialog. The art is dark and may require some concentration in reading, but it’s worth it! Wally Squad stories are excellent!
