Reviews – Boy-1 & Sherlock Holmes: The Seven-Per-Cent Solution

Reviews of the latest digital comics from IDW Publishing

BOY-1 #2

In the fast-approaching future, when the drug-addled heir of a genetic-engineering company begins to investigate his company’s murky past, he discovers he is the catalyst in a terrifying global event that will transform him and forever alter the course of human evolution.

After last issues fast moving issue, we get some answers – or what we thing are answers! Escaping from the hospital and finding out about the secrets of his birth, we also get an idea on his reactions. There are not all the answers here (it’s only #2) but there are some ideas on where we are going moving forward!

Sherlock Holmes: The Seven-Per-Cent Solution #2

Dr. Watson and Sherlock Holmes’ brother Mycroft begin their scheme to help rescue Holmes from his demons. But can The Great Detective be deceived? The best-selling Sherlock Holmes novel by writer/director Nicholas Meyer comes to comics!

The pace of this issue continues to ramp up, as the game is afoot! This is an interesting read as Sherlock is being lead by the nose here by Watson and Mycroft. I like the way Holmes is being treated here, and I do wonder if there is a twist to this tale!
