Review: 2000 AD – Prog 2012

My thoughts of this weeks edition of 2000 AD – the first of 2017!

A new story arc kicks off in Judge DreddDeep In The Heart. With Dredd making his way to Texas City, he’s hunting fugitives who have slipped through the net before the two cities ‘decided’ to work together! It’s told from an interesting point of view, and I wonder where it’s going…

We get a bit more history in Kingmaker, and although there is still a lot to understand, the story is pulling us in. I like the back-and-forth between the wizard and the orc and the reasoning behind it.

Part 2 of Hope…for the Future continues the investigation which began last issue and the combination of magic and the investigation goes deeper. It’s a really compelling read, and although it’s black and white the art and layouts are excellent!

Part 2 of The Order continues the Wyrm War. We get some more history and there are some excellent battle scenes going on. I like the talk between them all too! Finally we see some of the time repercussions too!

Finally Kingdom continues with the battles taking place in space with Gene being hunted after his release. As it Is In Heaven looks to be something of discovery for not just Gene, but the ‘Numans’ too!
