My thoughts on two digital comics from Boom! Studios
We start a new adventure with the Lumberjanes and it seems like they are going a little stir-crazy, so this adventure came in the nick of time. The Yeti have a problem and the Lumberjanes are here to help! the Yeti have some problems with the Sasquatch and the Lumberjanes have a plan to help. It’s a fun read, and at about the halfway point you know what the main part of this is going to be! Nevertheless I did like the look at the old camp – possibly when Bear Lady was in charge. I hope we get more of that in future issues!
Skybourne’s head doesn’t seem to be in the game as his training isn’t going as well as hoped. It’s quite good to see the ‘hero’ of the story not doing so well – usually they come back firing on all cylinders. What may get him back in the mood though is the reason for his call-up. Merlin is on his way with dragons and we discover what he is after and what his history is with Skybourne. It’s well told and doesn’t give us all the answers yet, but I expect they will be coming at some point – although Merlin doesn’t seem the sort to be monologging!
