Review: 2000 AD – Prog 2131

Some thoughts on this weeks 2000 AD – Prog 2131 from Rebellion

JUDGE DREDD: THE WORLD ACCORDING TO CHIMPSKY by Kenneth Niemand (w) PJ Holden (c) John Charles (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)

A fun one-shot Dredd story. This was a really fun read. I love the translation of Dredd and the pacing is excellent!

SCARLET TRACES: HOME FRONT by Ian Edginton (w) D’Israeli (a) Ellie De Ville (l)

the background to the resistance starts here. I like the way this is setting us up with things in the background, and adding a good framing technique! this is going to be interesting!

MAX NORMAL: HOW THE MAX GOT HIS STRIPES by Guy Adams (w) Dan Cornwell (a) Jim Boswell (c) Simon Bowland (l)

We get how Max escapes in this issue as well as how Max gets set up! I like the timing of this issue, but there are still a lot of unanswered questions! One of the main ones being at the end!!

THARG’S THRILLERS: THE CHIMERA by James Peaty (w) Brian Corcoran (a) Matt Soffe (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)

A new Thriller, and this one gives a good build up in the first issue – I don’t think things are going to go well!

KINGMAKER: OUROBOROS by Ian Edginton (w) Leigh Gallagher (a) Ellie De Ville (l)

There’s a lot to explain in this issue, but it all goes in well – there are some nice references too! I’m really enjoying this story!
