Review: 2000 AD Prog 2004

Judge Dredd, Savage, Flesh, Hunted & Counterfeit Girl

My thoughts on this weeks 2000 AD!

2004

An explosive cover featuring this issues Savage!

Judge Dredd spins off of ‘Get Sin’ of last issue and also spins off of the whole adventures on Enceladus! We’ve got a new Judge on the streets and he’s still suffering from the effects on the frozen moon. [easyazon_link identifier=”178108291X” locale=”UK” tag=”3milyea-21″]Dredd[/easyazon_link] seems to trust him though, and he has a job to do. So far so good, but then something weird seems to happen – is this a figment of his imagination, something from the moon, or something else entirely? I don’t know, but it’s strange!

In Savage we get the first bit of real action as Bill takes on the Straw Dogs! Featured on the front cover, they are something that he hasn’t dealt with before, there’s a fair amount going on here action-wise, so it’s a good bit. The final page though hints at a further problem for Bill as someone has their eye on him!

Hunted gives us a little bit of background to the traitor of the [easyazon_link identifier=”1906735344″ locale=”UK” tag=”3milyea-21″]Rogue Trooper[/easyazon_link], and those who were born with him! It’s from his point of view, so I don’t know how much we can trust! We also get some extra’s added into an already crowded mix, so it’s bound to all kick off soon!

Gorehead has yet to make an appearance in Flesh, but it’s only a matter of time (no pun intended) as we get to see Vegas and her crew taking to the fight to the hunters. Things don’t go to plan as it takes some convincing for the dinos to move, and then, from out of time, there is a problem for her – more personal though!

Counterfeit Girl jumps right in where we left off and things don’t seem to be going well for our hero as she undergoes a medical procedure to discover or cure the cause of the worrying disease she has. In addition to that, Albion are after her as we discover some of the reasons why she is on the run and hates them so much. That is quickly put to bed though as the medical drones catch her and put her in quarantine –  not a good thing!
