Review: 2000 AD – Prog 2125

Some thoughts on this weeks 2000 AD

Love the spread of this cover for Grey Area!

JUDGE DREDD: UNEARTHED by Rob Williams, Chris Weston (w) Patrick Goddard (a) Chris Blythe (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)

Dredd is pretty kick-ass in this issue. Especially right at the end. He has a bit of a moment about his city and it will be interesting if this is part of a bigger story arc for Dredd!

KINGMAKER: OUROBOROS by Ian Edginton (w) Leigh Gallagher (a) Ellie De Ville (l)

Up in the stars here, and we see the plans for the world going forward! I like the way it all played out and the ending bodes badly for our trio!

SURVIVAL GEEKS: DUNGEONS & DATING (BASIC) by Emma Beeby, Gordon Rennie (w) Neil Googe (a) Gary Caldwell (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)

We get a look at some greatest desires, and the D&D adventure continues. There is some fun bits here, especially the timing with the trolls!

MAX NORMAL: HOW THE MAX GOT HIS STRIPES by Guy Adams (w) Dan Cornwell (a) Jim Boswell (c) Simon Bowland (l)

Max gets the club and after a death attempt that leaves him feeling slightly naked, we get the beginning of his origin – I liked the method of the attempted death!

GREY AREA: MAKING HISTORY by Dan Abnett (w) Mark Harrison (a) Ellie De Ville (l)

Some wins and some losses here. The Grey Area looks to be getting some overtime. An interesting ending to the arc!
