Review: 2000 AD – Prog 2230

Prog 2230 of 2000 AD is out now in print and digitally from Rebellion. Some thoughts below:

Judge Dredd: The Penitent Man by Kenneth Niemand (w) Tom Foster (a) Chris Blythe (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)

Interesting. I like the way this panned out (especially with Line Of Duty being on UK TV) There seems to be something brewing for the future and not just for SJS. A good finish.

Thistlebone: Poisoned Roots by TC Eglington (w) Simon Davies (a) Simon Bowland (l)

An interesting head-to-head and I like the way this built up. It’s building towards the end here too. Some explanations for the stranger things too.

Visions of Deadworld: Transpolar by Kek-W (w) Dave Kendall (a) Simon Bowland (l)

A dark finish to this two-parter. I like the fightback (such as it is) and the weapons used. The dark hints were interesting.

Tharg’s 3rillers: Intestinauts – Symbiotic Love Triangle by Arthur Wyatt (w) Pye Parr (a+l)

Great to see the return of the Intestinauts in this new three-parter. I like the way this built up, and some good humour here too.

Feral & Foe II by Dan Abnett (w) Richard Elson (a) Jim Campbell (l)

This was a fun part to the story. There seems to be some comfort with their current predicaments. Some good action and Krod gets a time to shine!
