Review: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #127

From IDW Publishing, the story continues in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #127.

Who is Dr. Jasper Barlow, and is he friend or foe? As the TMNT regroup from their battle with the Punk Frogs, the doctor makes some of our heroes an offer they may find hard to refuse. Plus, a tense situation between the Utroms and Triceratons goes from bad to worse!

Well….

That was intense.

Before the intensity of the main story, we get the end of the issues with the Utroms and Triceratons. i have a feeling that will slowly stew until it comes into the main series.

But then we have this creepy doctor. Yes, he is up to something, and he has something to do with the missing member of the punk frog gang, but this shows how far he is really going. The source of his experiments is very interesting, and something from the previous adventures – what seems an age ago! I like the way it plays out though, with teases and looks by Donatello and Al. The ending is especially interesting and has been teased in the media – but not like this!

The art and colours are well done, with creepy labs and a new base (possibly). I like the way it is building up…
