Another large-sized issue from Zenescope Entertainment, this week it is Grimm Fairy Tales Myths & Legends Quarterly: Jack & Jill.

This is a big feeling comic. With 72 pages of content, there is a lot to take in. We get a good chunk of the past of Jill, with her history and backstory being pieced together as we work our way through the story. Obviously, there are schemes within schemes here, and I like the way this story builds along the way.
The characters are brought in well, with some interesting aspects to it all. The giants are interesting characters and the larger size allows for some characters – the giants included – to be rounded out and given individual personalities within the story.
As for the story, it is a bit of a slower build than what you would expect. Jill is a half-giant and has vengeance on her mind. It has some twists and turns as she makes her way through, and this adds to the intrigue of the story. I like the way there are tricks and turns on the way as you don’t know who to trust.
The artwork is pretty good, with some different styles and colour techniques as we work our way through different locations and time zones.
The ending brings it all to a head and a new status quo – hopefully, we shall see some more from these characters.
