Review – Van Helsing: Hellfire

Continuing the Hellfire storyline, this time with added Van Helsing from Zenescope Entertainment

Van Helsing has dealt with it all, from cursed creatures and undead beings, to interdimensional travel and the underworld itself. But when a new threat arises in the form of the Hellfire club, a cult of demon worshipers determined to tear our world down, Liesel must rely on every skill she has at her disposal, as well as her highly inventive intellect, if she hopes to survive what is coming her way!

This carries on the Hellfire special earlier in the year and brings us up to speed. Van Helsing is an interesting for, but I have the feeling that this story is going to drag in all of the Grimm Fairy Tales universe.

This was well built. Showing us the threat well and what needs to be done to do them. Of course, they have powers and they are pretty bloodthirsty.

But that’s what demon worshippers are all about.

There is also the traditional fight between two of the heroes. Luckily, this doesn’t last long and the mention of Shang helped.

I like the battles, and this issue seemed a lot of seeing up. We’re nowhere near the end of this story, so there is a lot going the way of the villains.

The right scenes were well done, mixing the mystical with the modern here.

This was a nice, quick read, which is building slowly into something big.

You can get Van Helsing: Hellfire from Zenescope Entertainment.
